your dishwasher and your kitchen knives.
Acid food remnants,
chemicals and abrasives
contained in powders, electrolytic oxidation due to the various metals present in the same
wash, prolonged high temperature for the “very dirty” programmes and drying
cycle, all attack your kitchen knives.
Systematic use of a dishwasher
inevitably spoils your knives, in the same way as it affects your glass
or chinaware.
If you care for your knives,
spare them this nasty treatment as often as possible.
A quick dip in hot water with some washing-up liquid, a rinse in
clear water, followed by careful drying will help you to protect
your SABATIER Diamant articles
properly, beyond a shadow of a doubt.
Storage
Avoid the tip or cutting edge of your
knife coming into contact with your other kitchen utensils.
To do that, it is better to use a knife block, a magnetized bar, a
case or an individual compartment in your kitchen drawers.
